Recap: Marshall Barristers vs. Wilson Mules
The Marshall Barristers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. The matchup between Marshall and Wilson wasn't particularly close, with Marshall falling 50-33. Marshall has struggled against Wilson recently, as their matchup on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
When it comes to explaining why Marshall lost, one person who can't be blamed is Giselly Gaona. Despite the final result, she scored 20 points. Another player making a difference was Charlie Gibson, who scored nine points along with two steals and two blocks.
Marshall has not been sharp recently, as they've lost eight of their last nine matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Wilson, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.
Marshall will be playing in front of their home fans against Lincoln at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Lincoln comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 23 points in their last three games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. As for Wilson, they will head out on the road to face off against Bravo at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
