Baseball Recap: Heritage Preparatory Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Heritage Preparatory had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10 runs) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 15-10 win over the North Georgia HomeSchool Tribe. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 20-13 win last Friday.

Thomas Kesler made a big impact no matter where he played. He pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single earned run in four consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Heritage Preparatory got a massive performance out of Johnny Davidson, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those three RBI gave Davidson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Lance Hudgins, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Heritage Preparatory's victory bumped their record up to 10-4. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, they dropped their record down to 3-17-1 with the loss, which was their ninth straight on the road.

Coming up, Heritage Preparatory will venture away from home to face off against Harvester Christian Academy on Monday. As for North Georgia HomeSchool, they will welcome Johnson Ferry Christian Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Saints have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 9.36 runs per game on average), something the Tribe will no doubt try to take advantage of.
