Brentwood got themselves on the board against Westminster Christian Academy on Thursday, but Westminster Christian Academy never followed suit. They were the clear victors by  a  6-0 margin over the Lions. The War Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Riley Helton made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has become a key player for Brentwood: the team is undefeated when he allows at  most  one  hit, but 10-12 otherwise. Helton was also stellar in the batter's box,  firing off two  home runs, three  runs,  and four  RBI while going 3-for-3. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.
 Helton wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  six players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  JW Hitchcock, who  went 1-for-4 with one  stolen base and one  RBI.
 Brentwood  lost a few balls and  finished the game with two  home runs. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post two or more  home runs.
Brentwood is  on a roll lately: they've  won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a massive bump to their 14-12 record  this season. The  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Westminster Christian Academy, they now  have a losing record of 13-14.
