Baseball Recap: Sumter County Snaps Five-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Sumter County lost against Spencer back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Sumter County fell 16-13 to Spencer. Even if the Panthers couldn't come away with the win, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their hitters, which had struggled int the games prior.

Sumter County got a massive performance out of Ter'Kaevian Rush, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all five of his plate appearances. What's more, Rush posted three hits, the most he's had since back in February. Another player making a difference was Kaeden Jones, who scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Sumter County's defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-12. As for Spencer, they moved to 4-5 with that victory, which also ended their three-game losing streak.
