Basketball Game Preview: Estancia Eagles vs. Loara Saxons

The Estancia Eagles will head out to take on the Loara Saxons at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Estancia is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.

Estancia's tournament run continued when they took on Walnut on Monday. Estancia was dealt a 64-25 defeat at the hands of Walnut. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 1022nd, while the Mustangs are ranked 247th).

Meanwhile, Loara was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Friday as they fell 48-43 to Tesoro.

Estancia's loss dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Loara, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-6.

Estancia strolled past Loara in their previous meeting back in November of 2023 by a score of 43-29. Will Estancia repeat their success, or does Loara have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
