Jefferson put another one in the bag on Monday to keep their perfect season alive. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Alcovy Tigers a 16-0 shutout. That's more bragging rights for the Dragons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 8-0. As for Alcovy, they dropped their record down to 0-5 with the loss, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Jefferson and Alcovy will both get their first taste of in-conference action in their upcoming games. The Dragons are set to take on their familiar foe Monroe Area at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Alcovy will face off against rival Loganville at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
