Soccer Recap: East Union Wins Going Away Against Downey

East Union kept a clean sheet against Downey on Monday. Everything went their way against the Downey Knights as they made off with a 5-0 win. It was an even better day for Gabrielle McIntosh as she scored three goals for her team.

East Union has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-5-2 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 16 goals over those four matches. As for Downey, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4-1.

East Union and Downey could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps California Rankings. East Union (ranked 408th) will meet Sierra (ranked 104th) at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Downey will challenge Gregori at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday down 302 places (321 vs. 19).
