Preview: Clarion Area Bobcats vs. DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals
The Clarion Area Bobcats will head out on the road to square off against the DuBois Central Catholic Cardinals at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Clarion Area will be strutting in after a win while DuBois Central Catholic will be coming in after a loss.
In what's become a running theme this season, Clarion Area gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They claimed a resounding 55-19 win over Keystone at home. Clarion Area pushed the score to 49-16 by the end of the third, a deficit Keystone had no chance of recovering from.
Clarion Area found their leader in underclassman Marley Kline, who almost dropped a double-double on 20 points and nine rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Kline has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Alston, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds.
Meanwhile, DuBois Central Catholic suffered a tough 46-25 defeat at the hands of Indiana on Saturday. DuBois Central Catholic has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Clarion Area has been performing well recently as they've won eight of their last ten matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-8 record this season. As for DuBois Central Catholic, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 11-10.
Clarion Area came up short against DuBois Central Catholic in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, falling 56-46. Can Clarion Area avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
