Baseball Recap: Oneonta Starts off Right with Win over St. Clair County

Oneonta gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They had just enough and edged the St. Clair County Fighting Saints out 3-2. Winning may never get old, but the Redskins sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row dating back to last season.

Carter Clyde was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one triple and two RBI. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Another player making a difference was Kash Key, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of his three plate appearances.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oneonta will challenge Guntersville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for St. Clair County, they will take on Ramsay at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.
