Basketball Game Preview: South Fork Cubs vs. Hoopa Valley Warriors

South Fork hasn't had much luck against Hoopa Valley recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The South Fork Cubs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Hoopa Valley Warriors at 7:00 p.m. South Fork will be strutting in after a win while Hoopa Valley will be coming in after a defeat.

South Fork is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past San Francisco Waldorf 39-18 on Saturday. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Cubs as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Hoopa Valley lost to Weed on the road by a 59-44 margin on Tuesday.

Hoopa Valley has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season. That patch can't be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.0 points per game. As for South Fork, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

South Fork was dealt a bruising 84-25 loss at the hands of Hoopa Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Thankfully for South Fork, Tashee Tracy (who dropped a double-double on 29 points and 14 rebounds) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
