Baseball Recap: Kellogg Comes Up Short

Kellogg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 16-1 to Parchment. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Parchment this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 12-9 on Tuesday.

Kellogg saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jordyn Jones, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run and one double.

Kellogg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-17. As for Parchment, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-9-1 record this season.

Kellogg will head out on the road to challenge Maple Valley at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Panthers' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Parchment, they will be playing at home against Allegan at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
