Softball Recap: Panama Now 9-2 over Last 11 Games

There's no place like home for Panama, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Howe Lions on Monday, sneaking past 5-4. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last three times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Panama is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 12-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.8 runs over those games. As for Howe, their defeat ended a six-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-8.

Panama will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Smithville at 4:30 p.m. on the 29th. As for Howe, they will head out to square off against Warner at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
