Soccer Recap: Greenbrier Gets the Win

Greenbrier won against Effingham County last Friday with four goals and they decided to stick to that goal total again on Friday. The Wolfpack came out on top against the South Effingham Mustangs by a score of 4-2. The win made it back-to-back victories for Greenbrier.

Greenbrier used a slightly different lineup for their bout with South Effingham. Muhammad Williams played for 75 minutes having averaged 39.1 this season and Ronan Kelly got 80 vs. an average of 42.7. Williams made the most of the opportunity, putting up one assist A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Greenbrier's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for South Effingham, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-3.

Greenbrier will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Evans on the 16th. As for South Effingham, they will host Savannah Arts Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
