Soccer Recap: Shadow Hills Finishes Even with Palm Desert

For the first time since back in December of 2024, Shadow Hills was forced to settle for a draw on Monday. They and the Palm Desert Aztecs finished up on equal footing with a 2-2 draw. The outcome might've been different if Raelyn Seacrist hadn't been hit with a yellow card, which no doubt limited her ability to make aggressive plays down the stretch.

Samantha Cruz and Dayanara Salazar scored both of Shadow Hills' goals, bringing their combined season tally to 18 goals.

With that draw, Shadow Hills' record moves to 5-3-2. As for Palm Desert, they moved theirs to 2-5-3.

Shadow Hills will square off against Rancho Mirage at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Shadow Hills is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season. As for Palm Desert, they will take on Palm Springs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Palm Desert's last four matches have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
