After a string of four wins, Marshalltown's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They came up short against the Grinnell Tigers, falling 9-1. The Bobcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Marshalltown's loss dropped their record down to 8-11. As for Grinnell, they pushed their record up to 18-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight at home.

Marshalltown has already played their next match (against West Marshall), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Grinnell, they will welcome Independence at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
