Central City never let their opponents score on Friday. They walked away with a 5-0 victory over the St. Paul Wildcats. The Bison haven't had any issues with the Wildcats recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Payton Burbach made a splash no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 13 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Emma Brandes, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Juno Ryan, who went 2-for-3 with two doubles, one run, and one RBI.

Central City hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They are a perfect 15-0 when they post two or more strikeouts.

Central City's victory bumped their record up to 20-6. As for St. Paul, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-13 record this season.

Central City didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Centura on the 3rd. St. Paul does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
