Volleyball Game Preview: Manzano Monarchs vs. La Cueva Bears

Manzano is 0-10 against La Cueva since October of 2015 but things could change on Thursday. The Monarchs will look to defend their home court against the Bears at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Manzano came up short against Capital and fell 3-1. While the Monarchs didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Jaguars 25-18 in the first set.

Manzano started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 18-25, 25-21, 25-17, 25-15.

Meanwhile, La Cueva came tearing into Tuesday's matchup with nine straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Demons with a sharp 3-0 victory.

La Cueva was especially dominant in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-14, 25-17.

La Cueva's win bumped their record up to 19-2. As for Manzano, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-8.
