The Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers had to start their season on the road on Wednesday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They took a serious blow against Huntingdon, falling 61-17. Philipsburg-Osceola was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 38-10.
Several Mountaineers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lily Warlow, who scored 6 points along with 6 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Maddy Malinich, who scored 6 points.
Philipsburg-Osceola's defeat dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Huntingdon, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
