Basketball Recap: Desert Mirage Takes a Loss

Desert Mirage was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 21st straight loss dating back to last season. They had to suffer through a 53-11 loss at the hands of the Banning Broncos. The RAMS were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 26-5.

Banning's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Annyssa Aqleh led the charge by putting up four points and ten steals. Aqleh is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed four or more in the last five games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Presley Connolly, who posted 12 points and five steals.

Desert Mirage's defeat dropped their record down to 0-17. As for Banning, their win was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 14-5.

Desert Mirage has already played their next contest (against Desert Hot Springs), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Banning has also has no score uploaded for their next match, this one against Cathedral City.
