After a string of four wins, Desert Christian's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They fell 3-1 to the Benson Bobcats. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bobcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2024.

Desert Christian was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Benson work for it, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 26-24, 19-25, 25-21, 25-21.

Desert Christian's loss was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 16-6. As for Benson, their win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 13-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Desert Christian will welcome St. David at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Benson, after both having extra time off, they and St. Augustine Catholic will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
