Baseball Game Preview: Tate Aggies vs. Buchholz Bobcats

The Tate Aggies will take on the Buchholz Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tate is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.2 runs per game this season.

Tate is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They walked away with an 8-3 win over Fletcher.

Lance Brady spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered three earned runs on four hits.

At the plate, Kaden Posta was excellent, going 2-for-5 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Cal Foxworth was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two RBI and one run.

Meanwhile, Buchholz entered their tilt with First Coast on Wednesday with six consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with seven. They blew past the Buccaneers 9-2. Considering the Bobcats have won 14 games by more than six runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Dion Wilburn looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Roen Kresak, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Another player making a difference was Zac Brown, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one double.

Buchholz's victory was their 24th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 28-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. As for Tate, their record now sits at 16-12.
