It's playoff time, and Columbus had no trouble coming through when it counted. They walked away with a 9-4 win over the Hart County Bulldogs on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Blue Devils sure are getting used to it with their seventh in a row.

Michael Nottleman made a splash while hitting and pitching. He struck out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run and one stolen base.

In other batting news, Jamari Blackmon was excellent, getting on base in two of his four plate appearances with two stolen bases and two runs. Ryan Miller was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one run and one RBI.

Columbus' victory bumped their record up to 21-10. As for Hart County, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 8-20.

Columbus will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair will be back at it again later today.
