Softball Game Preview: Preston Pirates vs. Collinsville Cardinals

Preston's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. Everything went their way against Caney Valley as they made off with a 14-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Pirates, who have now won nine contests by eight runs or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Collinsville suffered their closest defeat since September 5th on Thursday. They fell just short of Kellyville by a score of 5-3.

Collinsville has also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Preston, their victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-6.
