Recap: Chavez Titans vs. Wasco Tigers

The Chavez Titans scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. Everything went their way against Wasco as Chavez made off with a 63-39 win. That looming 63-39 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Chavez yet this season.

When it comes to explaining why Wasco lost, one person who can't be blamed is Cassandra Evangelista. Despite the final result, she scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Evangelista scored 15 or more points. The team also got some help courtesy of Angelina Romero, who scored four points along with three steals.

Chavez's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-8. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.5 points per game. As for Wasco, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-14.

Chavez will play host again and welcome Taft, where tip off is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Taft focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Wednesday. As for Wasco, they will head out on the road to face off against Delano at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Delano is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.
