Union has no trouble against Commodore Perry

The Union Knights/Damsels had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They took down Commodore Perry 38-22 on Saturday. That 16 points margin sets a new team best for Union this season.

Among those leading the charge was Brianna Schmidt, who scored four points along with eight rebounds and four steals. She also posted two+ blocks for the first time this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Strauser, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.

Despite the loss, Commodore Perry still got an impressive performance from Lilly Waleff, who scored two points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. Waleff has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last eight times she's played.

Union's victory ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-10. As for Commodore Perry, they bumped their record down to 0-12 with that loss, which was their 17th straight at home dating back to last season.

Union will take on Keystone at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Commodore Perry, they will head out on the road to take on Reynolds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
