It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Elizabeth can now relate to. They fell just short of the Air Academy Kadets by a score of 3-1 on Friday. The Cardinals' loss signaled the end of their 19-game winning streak.

Elizabeth saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Allie Dey, who went 1-for-3 with one run and one double.

Elizabeth's defeat dropped their record down to 23-3. As for Air Academy, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 18-7-1.

Elizabeth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Air Academy, they will challenge Lutheran at 2:30 p.m. on Friday. The Lions' pitching crew has only allowed 2.9 runs per game this season, so the Kadets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
