Dunwoody had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They blew past Lovejoy 15-2 on Wednesday. Considering Dunwoody has won 17 games by more than five  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Grayson Zinkand tossed a big game,   striking out six batters over  five innings while giving up just one earned  (and one unearned) run off   three  hits (and not a single walk). He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks any time he's  pitched this season.
 At the plate, Dunwoody got a  massive  performance out of  Alec Koehly, who  went 2-for-3 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  triple. Those  two  stolen bases gave  Koehly a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of  John Kosobud, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with two  runs, one  stolen base,  and two  RBI.
 Dunwoody was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .385. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lovejoy only posted a  batting average of  .167.
Dunwoody's victory was  their fifth straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 29-3. The  home  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.4 runs on average over those games. As for Lovejoy,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 9-14-1.
As of now, neither Dunwoody nor Lovejoy have any future games scheduled.
