Basketball Game Preview: Oxnard Yellowjackets vs. Dos Pueblos Chargers

Oxnard has won seven straight games at home, while Dos Pueblos has won seven straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Oxnard Yellowjackets will welcome the Dos Pueblos Chargers at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Oxnard is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Saturday as they easily beat Rio Mesa 85-50. Given the Yellowjackets' advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 89th, while the Spartans are ranked 474th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Dos Pueblos beat Pacifica 51-44 on Saturday.

Dos Pueblos has also been performing well recently as they've won nine of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-11 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.0 points per game. As for Oxnard, their victory bumped their record up to 20-7.

Oxnard didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against Dos Pueblos in their previous meeting back in January, but they still walked away with a 52-48 win. Does Oxnard have another victory up their sleeve, or will Dos Pueblos turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
