Baseball Recap: Beach Comes Up Short

After flying high against Windsor Forest on Thursday, Beach came back down to earth. The Bulldogs fell just short of The Habersham School Patriots by a score of 7-6 on Tuesday.

Jonas Colmenares led a balanced group of hitters, going a perfect 2-for-2 with six stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was DaMario West, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four stolen bases and two RBI.

Beach's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for The Habersham School, their victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Coming up, Beach is taking a road trip to challenge Savannah at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for The Habersham School, they will welcome Community Christian Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup will give the Patriots their first taste of in-conference action this season.
