St. Bernard extended their winning streak to 13 games thanks to a huge performance from Laila Florvilus. The St. Bernard's Crusaders put the hurt on the Ferndale Wildcats with a sharp 65-43 victory on Friday thanks in part to Florvilus, who almost dropped a double-double on 26 points and nine rebounds. She has been hot, having posted nine or more boards the last five times she's played.

Jocelyn Sundberg was another key player, putting up three points in addition to six rebounds and three blocks. That's the most boards she has posted since back in December of 2024.

When it comes to explaining why Ferndale lost, don't look at Michaela Ellsmore. Despite the final result, she posted 14 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tinnley Pidgeon, who put up ten points.

St. Bernard's pushed their record up to 22-1 with the win, which was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Ferndale, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Bernard's will welcome Trinity at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Trinity will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something St. Bernard's surely won't give up without a fight. Ferndale has already played their next match (against Hoopa Valley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
