Football Game Preview: Fremont Pathfinders vs. Maywood CES Wolfpack + Official Tickets

The Fremont Pathfinders will head out to take on the Maywood CES Wolfpack at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Fremont's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three contests, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Fremont lost 27-6 to Crenshaw on Friday.

Fremont didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Daniel Battle. Fremont got some further help from Darion Morrow: he picked up two sacks and made 13 total tackles.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 72 points the game before, Maywood CES was a bit more limited in their game on Friday. They came up short against George Washington Prep, falling 27-6. The Wolfpack were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

Maywood CES' defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Fremont, their loss dropped their record down to 3-5.

Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Fremont has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 196.6 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Maywood CES struggles in that department as they've been averaging 232.8 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.

Fremont strolled past Maywood CES in their previous matchup back in November of 2022 by a score of 47-32. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pathfinders since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
