Recap: Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies vs. Katella Knights
The Godinez Fundamental Grizzlies waltzed into their matchup on Tuesday with eight straight wins but they left with nine. They secured a 44-40 W over Katella. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Godinez Fundamental also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Godinez Fundamental's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Julissa Mota, who scored nine points along with seven rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Valerie Esteban, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Godinez Fundamental is on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-8 record this season. As for Katella, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 15-8.
