Basketball Game Preview: Weston Ranch Cougars vs. Vanden Vikings

The Weston Ranch Cougars will square off against the Vanden Vikings at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.

Last Saturday, Weston Ranch took a blow against Immanuel, falling 64-13. The contest marked the Cougars' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Despite the defeat, Weston Ranch saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Lila Harper posted six points and five blocks. Harper has been hot recently, having posted two or more blocks the last three times she's played.

Meanwhile, Vanden had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 57.3 points) and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They blew past the Wildcats, posting a 63-18 victory. The Vikings have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season.

Weston Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 2-10. As for Vanden, their win bumped their record up to 9-7.
