After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Lovett, Therrell was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the South Atlanta Hornets with a sharp 15-5 win. The Panthers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by ten runs or more this season.
Therrell got a massive performance out of Chase Gray, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and two RBI. What's more, Gray posted two hits, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Traveon Banks, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Therrell always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .541. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as South Atlanta only posted an OBP of .393.
Therrell's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 11-10. The home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for South Atlanta, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-10.
As of now, neither Therrell nor the Hornets have any future games scheduled.
