Baseball Recap: Rockdale County Comes Up Short

Rockdale County came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Monroe Area Purple Hurricanes, falling 11-2. Bulldogs fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team's lost against the Purple Hurricanes since on Tuesday.

Rockdale County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JaMarcus Knox, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Rockdale County has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-18 record this season. As for Monroe Area, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 10-16.

Coming up, Rockdale County will be playing at home against Spalding at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Bulldogs are facing the Jaguars at the right time seeing as the Jaguars are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Monroe Area, they will head out to face off against Athens Christian at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.
