Xavier Prep piles up the points against Palm Desert

Make it 14 blowout wins for the Xavier Prep Saints this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Thursday as they easily beat Palm Desert 68-28 at home. The win was nothing new for Xavier Prep as they're now sitting on three straight.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Xavier Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Tiffany Chang, who scored 12 points along with five assists and four steals. Chang hasn't dropped below two steals for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Williams, who scored six points along with six rebounds and four steals.

Despite the defeat, Palm Desert saw an underclassman step up: Katelyn Gallagher scored ten points along with four steals. That was a full 35.7% of Palm Desert's points, marking the 14th time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

Xavier Prep is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. As for Palm Desert, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 10-7.

Xavier Prep will head out on the road to square off against Rancho Mirage at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Palm Desert, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Palm Springs at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
