Softball Recap: Tift County Has No Trouble Against Richmond Hill + How To Watch

Tift County hadn't done well against Richmond Hill recently (they were 0-3 in their previous three matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. The Blue Devils were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Wildcats. This was payback for the Blue Devils, who suffered a 19-6 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Lily Robinson was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in seven consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and three RBI.

In other batting news, Stella Bryant was incredible, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two). Morgan Brey was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

Tift County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Richmond Hill only managed six hits.

The victory made it two in a row for Tift County and bumps their season record up to 9-2. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Richmond Hill, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-4 record this season.

Tift County will have a chance to go back-to-back against Richmond Hill: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
