Soccer Game Preview: Piner vs. Healdsburg

The Piner Prospectors will venture away from home to face off against the Healdsburg Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be battling to keep a three-game winning streak alive.

Piner will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Rancho Cotate, who they had gone 1-7-1 against in their nine prior meetings. Piner had just enough and edged Rancho Cotate out 2-1.

Meanwhile, Healdsburg kept a clean sheet against Elsie Allen on Wednesday. They were the clear victor by a 6-0 margin over the Lobos. The result was nothing new for the Greyhounds, who have now won nine contests by three goals or more so far this season.

Healdsburg's win bumped their record up to 13-0-2. As for Piner, their victory bumped their record up to 5-3-3.

Piner took their win against Healdsburg when the teams last played back in February of 2024 by a conclusive 7-1. Does Piner have another victory up their sleeve, or will Healdsburg turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
