Soccer Game Preview: Walnut vs. Chaffey

The Walnut Mustangs are taking a road trip to challenge the Chaffey Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Walnut's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They put the hurt on Edgewood with a sharp 15-0 victory.

Meanwhile, Chaffey made easy work of Covina on Friday and carried off a 9-0 win.

Walnut's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Chaffey, their win bumped their record up to an identical 2-0.

Walnut came out on top in a nail-biter against Chaffey in their previous matchup back in November of 2024, sneaking past 1-0. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Tigers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
