Raymond extended their losing streak  to three  on Thursday, dropping them down to 2-7. They had to suffer through  a    73-28 loss at the hands of the Morton Panthers. On the bright side, the 28- point  performance marked the Rangers' highest-scoring  matchup to date.
 When it comes to explaining why Raymond lost, don't look at  Cj Martin. Despite the final result, he rushed for 184 yards and a pair of  TDs while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. Martin was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 52 yards.
As for Morton, they have  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 32.5 points over those games.
 Morton's win  was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from   Dakota Martin, who rushed for 105 yards and one  score. Those  105  rushing yards gave  Martin a new career-high.  Avonte Reese did his part for the team as well, scoring a TD off of 69 receiving yards.
 Looking ahead, Raymond will welcome Mendenhall  at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. As for Morton, they will square off against Forest at 7:00  p.m.  on Thursday. The Bearcats' defense has only allowed 14  points per game  this season, so the Panthers' offense will have their work cut out for them.
