Soccer Game Preview: Toombs County vs. Woodville-Tompkins

The Toombs County Bulldogs will head out to square off against the Woodville-Tompkins Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Woodville-Tompkins took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Toombs County, who comes in off a win.

Toombs County barely beat Dodge County the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Toombs County's defense stepped up to hand Dodge County a 5-0 shutout on Friday. The win continues a trend for Toombs County in their matchups with Dodge County: they've now won four in a row.

Meanwhile, Woodville-Tompkins' game on Thursday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of Swainsboro by a score of 2-1. That's two games in a row now that Woodville-Tompkins have lost by just one goal.

This is the second loss in a row for Woodville-Tompkins and nudges their season record down to 2-9. As for Toombs County, their victory bumped their record up to 8-4.
