Basketball Recap: North East Comes Up Short

North East lost against Eisenhower back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The North East Grape Pickers fell 67-57 to the Eisenhower Knights. The Grape Pickers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Clara Steinberg was her usual excellent self, going 11-for-21 on her way to 32 points along with seven boards and five assists for Eisenhower. That makes it 20 consecutive games in which Steinberg has scored at least a third of Eisenhower's points. Another player making a difference was Lainey Font, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine rebounds.

North East's defeat dropped their record down to 8-12. As for Eisenhower, their victory bumped their record up to 16-6.

As of now, neither North East nor Eisenhower have any future games scheduled.
