Soccer Game Preview: Tustin vs. Kennedy

The Tustin Tillers will face off against the Kennedy Fighting Irish at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Tustin is headed into the contest having not lost since December 21 and will look to keep things rolling. They walked away with a 3-1 win over Buena Park on Thursday. Given the Tillers' advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 412th, while the Coyotes are ranked 917th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Kaia Tindukasiri and Emma Mendel scored all three of Tustin's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Meanwhile, Kennedy entered their tilt with Segerstrom on Thursday with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. They never let the Jaguars onto the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The Fighting Irish might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won eight games by three goals or more this season.

Kennedy is also on a roll lately: they've won 12 of their last 13 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 43 goals over those 13 contests. As for Tustin, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-4.
