Soccer Game Preview: Harrison vs. West Clermont

The Harrison Wildcats are taking a road trip to face off against the West Clermont Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Harrison will be strutting in after a win while West Clermont will be coming in after a defeat.

Harrison will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any goals on Wednesday, then bounced right back against Ross on Thursday. The Wildcats never let the Rams get on the board and left with a 5-0 victory. Considering Harrison have won six contests by more than two goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Their offense was hitting Ross from everywhere, as five different players booted in a goal.

Meanwhile, West Clermont managed to keep up with Milford until halftime on Thursday, but things quickly went downhill from there. Wolves lost 4-1 to the Eagles. West Clermont have struggled against Milford recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive lost matchup.

West Clermont's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-2. As for Harrison, their win bumped their record up to 7-3-3.

Harrison took their victory against West Clermont in their previous meeting back in September of 2024 by a conclusive 6-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
