Sergeant Bluff-Luton entered their tilt with Le Mars on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They skirted past the Bulldogs 4-2. That's the fifth time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 3-1 win last Tuesday.

Sergeant Bluff-Luton's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 33-6. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.2 runs on average over those games. As for Le Mars, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 30-10.

Looking ahead, Sergeant Bluff-Luton will challenge A-D-M on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so the Warriors' hitters will have their work cut out for them. Le Mars does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
