Football Recap: Tift County Takes a Loss + How To Watch

The matchup between Tift County and Valdosta on Friday hardly resembled the 14-7 effort from their previous meeting. The Blue Devils fell 48-35 to the Wildcats. The Blue Devils have struggled against the Wildcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Despite the loss, Tift County still got an impressive performance from Kamari Holloman, who rushed for 150 yards and three scores. Another player making a difference was Damieon Dixon, who threw for 200 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Tyrieke Wade went supernova For Valdosta., throwing for 265 yards and six TDs while completing 89.5% of his passes, and also punching in one rushing score. Those six passing touchdowns gave Wade a new career-high. Jamarian Mingo was another key player, picking up 123 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Tift County's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Valdosta, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1.
