Softball Recap: Wahlert Extends Winning Streak to Four

Wahlert had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4 runs) and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They came out on top against the North Linn Lynx by a score of 7-3. The Golden Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Lynx, too.

Wahlert pushed their record up to 10-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.4 runs over those games. As for North Linn, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-9 record this season.

Wahlert has already played their next contest, a 6-4 loss against Assumption on the 21st. As for North Linn, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-1 defeat against Beckman on the 21st.
