Baseball Recap: Pebblebrook's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Pebblebrook made up a huge gap compared to their last game against South Cobb, but they still couldn't quite topple them. Pebblebrook never let South Cobb get on the board and left with a 16-0 victory on Tuesday. The result was nothing new for the Falcons, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Sinsaire Walker made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He is becoming a predictor of Pebblebrook's success: when he allows at most one hit the team is 2-1 (and 3-9 when he doesn't). Walker was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing two bases. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in RBI (two).

In other batting news, Jhaki Stewart and Damian (DJ) Phipps did most of the damage at the plate: Stewart scored three runs and stole three bases while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances, while Phipps went 1-for-2 with one home run and three RBI. Stewart has become a key player for Pebblebrook: the team is 4-2 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 1-8 otherwise. Jadyn Marshall was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Pebblebrook always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .600. They are 5-1 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Pebblebrook moved to 5-10 with that win, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for South Cobb, they dropped their record down to 0-6 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Pebblebrook will have a chance to go back-to-back against South Cobb: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:55 p.m. on Thursday.
