Football Recap: Wylie Has No Trouble Against Legacy

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Stephenville, Wylie was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They put the hurt on the Legacy Leopards with a sharp 45-24 win. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three contests by 21 points or more this season.

Despite the loss, Legacy saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Knox Hodges threw for 180 yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 42 yards.

Wylie now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Legacy, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Coming up, Wylie will face off against Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs will need to watch out since the Cougars have now posted at least 31 points in their last three matchups. As for Legacy, they will venture away from home to square off against Lubbock-Cooper at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Leopards will be up against the Pirates' rather soft defense (which has allowed 34.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
