Soccer Game Preview: Centennial vs. Norco

The Centennial Huskies will square off against the Norco Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Centennial's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Centennial's tournament run continued when they took on San Dimas on Saturday. Both finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Norco). Their defense stepped up to hand Ontario a 6-0 shutout on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Cougars, who have now won five matchups by four goals or more so far this season.

They hit Ontario with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Scarlett Rivera (3), Sydney Lambert, Audrina Ponce, and Lillianna Hutchings.

Centennial's draw gives them a new season record of 9-3-2. As for Norco, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

Centennial came up short against Norco in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, falling 3-1. Can Centennial avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
